Desktop Pressure Seal - An Overview

The chances are you have already handled a document that has been pressured sealed. Usually this is in the form of a payslip or a pin mailer. With the advent of lower cost desktop pressure seal machines, there is now a chance for small businesses to use this technology.
Today we are looking at the AS350 (available from DMS). Manufactured in the UK, the AS350 can attach to the output of a desktop printer to allow for a true reliable secure mailing solution.
The AS350 is part of a range of pressure seal solutions that also covers the larger production arena.
One of the mail advantages of using pressure seal paper is the instant security and readiness for the postbag or handout. But pressure seal does not just have to be used for security applications. When using pressure seal there is no need for an envelope. The printed page is ready to go as soon as it comes out of the pressure sealing machine. This can make pressure seal idea for single page applications such as invoices.
The AS350 offers the ability to fold and seal most formats of document, whether they be Z, C or V-Fold, in sizes up to 14". By linking the sealer on-line with a laser printer, not only is the job done in a single step, but security and integrity are increased as the document is not handled between printing and sealing.
The AS350 can also be fed from a stack of pre-printed forms. This feature can either be used as a complete standalone system, or as part of an on-line system to feed documents printed on another printer.
Operating the AS350 could not be easier! Once the fold plates have been set to suit your documents, you simply press Green for go, or Red to stop. When running on-line with a printer, the system will wait in stand-by mode and automatically start when the first printed document arrives. A digital counter keeps track of the number of documents processed at all times.
