According to a recent survey by Pitney Bowes, many consumers prefer to receive tangible physical mail when receiving bills, invoices, financial statements, and even catalogues.
The survey carried out by Leflein Associates and commissioned by Pitney Bowes surveyed approximately 1,500 adults in America and recorded their preferences, attitudes, and behavior toward the two types of mail, physical and e-mail.
The study also investigated what influenced recipients to open their mail and read it at home or in the office.
Over 61% preferred to receive bills and invoices by physical mail, 59% preferring to receive financial/bank statements by physical mail, and a staggering 66% of respondents said they prefer to receive catalogues using the traditional form of mail. Great news for those who regularly send out statements and invoices by post. Not good news for the post-workers bad back.
