Pitney Bowes this week held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to signal the opening of its new mail services facility in Newark, New Jersey. The site, which will serve as a new International Mail Distribution Center, is expected to process approximately 50 million pieces of international mail per year. This facility is being added to Pitney Bowes' expanding mail services operations in New Jersey and is good news for area employment bringing 180 jobs to Newark. The company expects to create an additional 25 jobs at its Newark site during the next few years.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Pitney Bowes employees and guests joined customers to explore the new space. Located in Newark's Enterprise Zone, the new Pitney Bowes mail services facility includes approximately 76,000 square feet of space.
