New Zealand Post affected by earthquake

New Zealand Post services have been affected by today's large earthquake in Christchurch. The earthquake, that struck in the early hours of the morning, damaged roads and has made many buildings unsafe.
There will be no Saturday mail deliveries in Christchurch and in surrounding rural areas. New Zealand Post have also announced that PostShops in affected areas will also be closed today.
New Zealand Post is undertaking a thorough assessment of their delivery and retail infrastructure.
Due to Christchurch operating as an airline hub for New Zealand's South Island, it is likely that delivery of mail will be disrupted across the whole of the island.
