Royal Mail announced today that they would be postponing their plans to print "Delivered By Royal Mail" on the majority of envelopes going through their network.
Originally planned to start in September, this printed slogan idea has proved controversial with many customers worried it would dilute their own marketing message.
Royal Mail's Graham Davis (Director of Sales and Channels) has said, "We take these concerns seriously so I am keen to spend time over the coming month with both Trade Associations and customers, listening to feedback and taking on board comments and input".
The slogan "Delivered By Royal Mail" would have been sprayed on to most envelopes while they were being processed through Royal Mail sorting machines.
An update is promised by Royal Mail in November.
