Royal Mail wins award for Best UK Foreign Exchange Company
15/11/2008Royal Mail was recognised for its non-mailing services by winning an award for foreign exchange and travel insurance.
The Post Office, which is part of the Royal Mail Group, was given the accolade Best Foreign Exchange Company in the UK for the second year running.
Winning the award at the 2008 British Travel Awards by taking an impressive 32 per cent share of votes, the mailing company did well to keep ahead of other competitors vying to win.
Helen Warburton, head of travel services, said: "It's an honour to be chosen as the people's favourite travel money provider and travel insurer again this year."
She added that the bureau de change managed by the Post Office is the biggest in the UK and deals with 14 million transactions as well as at least a million travel policies each year.
The British Travel Awards take place every year and are voted for by consumers and industry professionals who cast their votes in the thousands.
